An alternative to plastic surgery to increase the volume of the breast is represented by hyaluronic acid injections. The technique, that avoids the use of a scalpel, it’s called breast lift. Dermal fillers are used instead of breast implants. The hyaluronic acid, like Botox injections, is also used to reduce wrinkles and its main advantage compared to surgical techniques is the reduced invasiveness. Hyaluronic acid fillers (for example Restylane) can also be used in cases where you want to lift up cheekbones;the results obtained with these treatments are excellent and give a major improvement to the face making it look younger with a shiny skin. There are also many hyaluronic acid lotions that are great for keeping the results and to slow the aging process of skin.

How it works:

As we said there is no need to use the scalpel because doctors won’t use breast implants; the surgeon simply injects hyaluronic acid with the helps of syringe inside the breast. There are no specific contraindications, but the main problem is that breast augmentation is temporary, it lasts not more then 12 months, sometimes 18 months. At the end of this period breast will return to the same starting size. Another drawback concerns the size. With hyaluronic acid you can increase your breast just of 1 size, not more.

Hyaluronic acid injections price

Assuming that a 20 cc vial costs about $ 150 and to have a size bigger we need 100 cc, price is about $1500. Add “fee surgeon” and you will spend almost $2500, far less than the cost of a plastic surgery breast augmentation.

Risks

Hyaluronic acid fillers are very safe because it is reabsorbed without leave a trace. Adverse reactions may occur because many temporary fillers also contain other compounds, possibly used to extend the life of the filler.

The hyaluronic acid treatment is also indicated for the correction of:
Lips: fullness and firmness, and vermilion border. Volume and contour of the lips.
Remodeling of the contours of the face (eg, cheeks and chin).
Wrinkles (around mouth and glabellar ones).
Periocular wrinkles (“crow’s feet”).
Post-acne scarring.
Post-traumatic scarring.
Imperfections of the soft tissues.
Remodeling of the breast and body.

As with any new cosmetic technique it is important to seek the best professional advice before embarking on any treatment.
